Scattered drawings, correspondence, and other papers relating to buildings in Edenton, N.C., including a subscription list, 1767, for the building of a courthouse and prison; drawing of the cupola for a church, 1769; drawings for a prison, 1773; and a letter, 1857, from Robert Treat Paine concerning the transfer of these papers to the North Carolina Historical Society. Also included are architectural sketches, n.d., of a church in Hillsborough, N.C., thought to be the work of John Hawks.
